howdy... i shall be at TooManyGames next week. ill be the nervous little man w/ big stupid hair, feel free to say hi!!

I'll be hovering around the NG event on Friday & afterwards I'll mostly be chillin around Bill, Chris & Josh in the FreePlay section w/ their game (I'm helping with the sound effects, though you probably wont hear any of them in the loud convention center LOL) Come play Poop Game if you're around!!!!!

Apologies in advance if you meet me & I'm acting a bit odd or just straight up tweakin' at times. My OCD has gotten really, really bad over the past year or so & I've developed a pretty nasty case of agoraphobia. I'll be trying my fleeking best though!! I've gone to conventions & NG meet ups for years & I refuse to let my recent mental issues keep me from these very special events. The love I have for my friends & Newgrounds will help me push thru this stupid anxiety!!!!! SEE U GUYS THERE!!!!!

Hey all! We're about a month away from the deadline for the LISA: Campfire Collab!

We'd like to check-in with everyone who is planning on joining the collab so we can get a progress report on how y'all are doing, how many people are joining, determining if we need to extend the deadline, etc.

To share your progress with us, email your work to LISACampfireCollab@gmail.com or DM me or Spinalpalm for a link to the collab's Discord server, where you can also show your work so far. You may also just simply DM us your progress as well. No worries if you don't have any work to show just yet, but we would appreciate if you would still message us letting us know where you're at on your cartoon/art piece (even if it's still just an idea floating in your brain)

Speaking of rules & guidelines, I'd like to clarify a few of them as well as addressing a few questions we've received! (Be sure to read the initial post before this one!)

MAKE SURE YOUR SUBMISSION IS A 4:3 RESOLUTION

(We recommend 1440x1080 but any 4:3 resolution will work)

      -For those confused, the standard for most content is typically 16:9 Widescreen (I.E. 1920x1080, 1280x720, etc.). 4:3 resolutions are closer to a square than Widescreen & used to be the old standard (mainly due to TVs & monitors being wide squares rather than rectangles) Regardless of which ratio is the current standard, 16:9 & 4:3 are the main two used in visual medias & for this collab we're requesting 4:3 for both animation AND art submissions (So be sure to look up a list of 4:3 resolutions & work with whatever size works for you!)

      -LISA: The Painful's original resolution was 17:13 which is a very odd, uncommon ratio (pretty close to 4:3) & in the new update, the game was upscaled to fit any screen (the game is square in the middle & the rest of the screen has an art border) So our visual plan for the collab is that your submissions are 4:3 (square in the middle) & when we edit the collab into one video, we'll add border art to make it 16:9 widescreen. So in a way the collab can emulate how the game looks in the Definitive Edition.

PLEASE PUT THE COLLAB'S LOGO/WATERMARK & HASHTAGS ON YOUR SUBMISSION IF YOU PLAN TO POST IT ON SOCIAL MEDIA!

      -Please use these hashtags: #LISACampfireCollab & #Newgrounds

      -If you're posting your animation on social media, please also put the collab's endcard at the end of your video.

      -We're aiming to attract more people to Newgrounds with this collab, so putting the logo & endcard on your submission as well as posting w/ the hashtags will be a great help for the website and the collab's success :)

BORDER ART WILL BE CREATED BY US & ARTISTS WE PERSONALLY REACH OUT TO

      -We're not accepting any submissions specifically for border artwork; we are only accepting art & animation submissions (that follow our guidelines)

      -If you'd REALLY like to help us with border art, feel free to send us some of your work examples & we will reach out if we'd like your help! :)

ART SUBMISSION CLARIFICATIONS:

      -We apologize if this was a bit confusing in the initial post but I'll try my best to fully explain how art will be used in this collab compared to animation submissions.

      -Art & Animations will be featured sequentially in a back & forth pattern. I.E. an animation submission plays & afterwards an art submission is displayed. In a sense, the art will be used as transitions between each animation.

      -There are TWO scenarios for your art submissions: Brad/Party members of your choice interacting during the day OR interacting around the campfire at night. I'd say preferably we'd like submissions w/ interactions during the day to help the pattern of the whole collab feel like each animation submission takes place on a different night & each transitional art submission is the day in-between. But we don't want to dictate too much of your creativity so if your drawing idea takes place at night, go for it, we just ask that the campfire is nearby :)

      -Comics are allowed HOWEVER!!! We do not accept them as single art pieces (read animation clarifications below if you'd like to submit a comic to the collab)

ANIMATION SUBMISSION CLARIFICATIONS:

      -If your submission is a comic (or an animatic), it must be edited into video format. While we urge you to edit & add sounds yourself, we can make exceptions for SOME artists who make incredible art but absolutely cannot edit themselves.

      -The main goal of the animations is to emulate more campfire conversations between party members, so we prefer your cartoons to be more dialogue-heavy between characters (as we mentioned in the initial post, similar to the Africa Dudes Collab) Again, we don't want to dictate too much of your creativity, so if your idea is a lot more than just a few guys talking to each other, go for it! BUT!!!!! Make sure your animations feature characters around the campfire at some point or another. It is the campfire collab after all!

      -Remember you can submit more than one animation! Just be sure to reuse the same characters you use in your initial cartoon.

      -Be sure to join the Campfire Collab Discord server to find out what characters other people are using to ensure we dont see the same combinations of characters interacting with each other throughout the collab! Feel free to DM me or Spinalpalm for an invite to the server!

Characters are not locked or 'taken' if someone else is making a cartoon with them so don't worry if your idea uses the same guy BUT we do urge you to use different combinations of characters. (EX: if your idea includes Terry & Nern and you find out someone else is doing a cartoon with those two, consider switching just one of them out for another character)

Hopefully, this post cleared up a few questions you may of had! We also apologize if this further confused anyone lol. We know it's a lot of info to follow & read but we just want to make sure we create a quality collab in the end to pay homage to a fantastic & special game!

Hey everyone! A few weeks ago I announced that Parry Gripp & I are taking fan art submissions for our next Raining Tacos Christmas music video, Merry Christmas From TacoBot! The fan art will be showcased along with my animation for the song. So far we have 40 drawings! They're all so special & I appreciate everyone who has submitted some art!

Alright let's cut to the chase!!

We're releasing a new Raining Tacos music video next month for Christmas & we are opening the doors for ANYONE to draw some fan art to be featured in the animation!!!!! (& we mean everyone! Even your little nephew!)

LEMME TELL YA HOW TO JOIN!!

It's pretty simple! All you gotta do is draw Timmy Taco & TacoBot 3000 giving tacos to everyone around the world on Christmas!

Then email your drawing to "rainingtacosfanart@gmail.com" !!

Here are some guidelines for your drawings! (not mandatory!)

1. Draw Timmy Taco & TacoBot 3000 in their Xmas gear!

Timmy's Awesome Mode outfit is decked out for the holidays & TacoBot 3000 is Sleigh-Form!

(feel free to draw their regular designs though!)

2. Timmy & Tacobot are giving tacos around the world. What that means is up to you!

You can draw them in your hometown, celebrating in your country or even spreading Xmas cheer in outer space! Maybe they're also celebrating with your OC? :D

3. In the music video, Timmy brings his good friend Itzel along with him on the trip around the world.

You can also draw her giving tacos to people or interacting with people where you're from! (She loves learning about people!)

4. While the song is about Christmas, feel free to draw anything related to Kwanzaa, Hanukkah, or New Years celebrations!

5. All ages allowed to draw! So keep your drawing kid-friendly! (No NSFW, offensive or adult themed drawings will be accepted)

6. All mediums allowed! Digital, traditional, however you like to draw or create! It can be a doodle on a piece of paper or even a 3D modeled image. Whatever you want!!

HOWDY EVERYONE! Part 6 of the Raining Tacos Saga is out! & it's the biggest one yet!

TORTILLA AVALANCHE!

Here's some commentary I wrote for the description of the animatic:

"Tortilla Avalanche is finally finished. This one took a while! I think I started animating this in late December but didnt get super cranking on it until February (I was struggling a bit but everythings hunky-dory now!) HOWEVER this cartoon was actually planned all the way back almost MID 2021! This animatic was actually made the same time Taco Spaghetti's animatic was! (Taco Spaghetti & Tortilla Avalanche are sister videos) This music video is pretty massive & a LOT of planning went into this one (which is probably the main reason it took a while to even START animating it lol) Not to mention, having to figure out that tortilla avalanche without my computer exploding?? Luckily once I figured it out, it went surprisingly smooth. There's lots packed into this video though, so be sure to rewatch & skip around to see if theres anything you missed! I'm very happy with out this video came out & so happy I was able to make Parry's awesome song even more awesome! (hopefully lol)"

FUN FACTS!

1. This video re-introduces an old character from a previous music video, Last Train to Awesome Town: The AwesomeBot 3000!

2. The AwesomeBot 3000 is one of the three "3000 Robots" (the third robot hasnt been revealed yet)

3. Despite their scary appearance & actions in the music video, The AwesomeBot 3000 is not a villain (they are typically still an antagonist in most adventures!) AwesomeBot is a very misunderstood machine, so dont be too hard on them!

4. All the townspeople shown in this music video have names! Feel free to @ me on Twitter or drop a comment if you're curious about a certain one! :)

5. Unexpectedly, the official video was uploaded to Youtube on International Transgender Day of Visibility & while I cannot go into detail about it, I will confirm that The AwesomeBot 3000 is trans.
